Getting there

Fetești is in the north of Edineț district, at the far northern edge of Moldova, over 200 km from Chișinău — a drive of roughly four hours. In practice you can only get there by car; public transport down to village level is infrequent and incompatible with a day visit. The most sensible approach is to include the stop on a circuit through the north, setting out from Edineț or Briceni. When to go

The place is permanently accessible and free. The good season runs from April to October: spring for the greenery, autumn for the colours. In winter the country roads in the area can become difficult, and after heavy rain some stretches turn to mud.
